For thousands of years, the SAN bushman used ostrich eggs as their containers for collecting and storing water. SANBWA therefore felt that the egg’s unambiguous and distinctive image not only symbolised the associations values of honesty and integrity but also the natural, safe content of the water and crucially, SANBWA's origins.

SANBWA Mission Statement: 

To ensure that the quality of members’ bottled water meets internationally accepted standards.

SANBWA Aims and Objectives: 

  • Ensure that all members adhere to SANBWA’s Guidelines and Standards

  • Ensure guidelines remain in line with international quality standards.

  • Create awareness amongst consumers of the benefits of SANBWA members bottled water.

  • Create awareness amongst industry stakeholders of the purpose and aims of SANBWA.
